Better than arming teachers who would just let someone take their guns away. Arm them with pistols and .45 cal safety slugs to avoid complete body cavity penetration or shotguns with tactical 00 buck loads. And give them peace officer status while on duty on school property - this will give them the ability to proceed on the grounds of probable cause when they shoot someone.
