Our present leader feels he is/can be a dictator. And there are lots of people who think that's a fine idea. Once done however, it may be impossible to change.

Does that mean in a Sandra Fluke kind of way that we all should be bought AR15's as well?
Actually, I don't need a 2nd amendment. I don't need anyone to tell me I'm allowed to defend my life. Some &%%%&^%& might cause me some legal grief, but why would anyone submit to throwing their life to the wind?
And really yes, an assault weapon should be defined as something fully automatic. You still have to stop and aim an ar-15. I'd rather have a pistol in the 0-100 foot range which is where you're going to be defending yourself. Takes less body parts to aim and be exposed. And if the attacker is within arms length, you may not even be able to point the rifle at them.
PS - and it's not even criminals and lunatics that require your defensive attention. What about foreigners, illegals pouring in over the border that the government could care less about.

I wish that I wasn't unarmed and helpless. I'm the perfect "progressive".
Great answers for owning a AR-15 type gun. Its also fun to shot targets at the gun range. Its a good piece to be part of a nice gun collection.target shooting and collections are great hobbies.
