A Republican Wins Anthony Weiner's Vacated Seat

When I saw on the news that it was even a possibility, I smiled. Really? Z says that Dems had a 3 to 1 advantage on registration, and STILL elected a Republican.

This can't have anything to do with Obama, of course. No way this can be a referendum on his failed policies and failed presidency. No way the New York liberals can be expressing dissatisfaction with the activities of the Democratic Party.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along, move along.

Dems just go on doing what you're doing.

Pssst! This is just for Republicans. Democrats please stop reading now. Hey guys, let's let the Dems think that this means nothing. That way they will be completely blindsided by the Tsunami election of 2012 that will literally sweep them off the map.

I can hear the Halleluyah chorus starting now....

Have no fear, lady. The Dems will no more change what they are doing than I will become a Dem. They either can't or they don't know how. There heads, obviously by the policies they continue to advocate, might be pulled from the sand long enough to get freaked by such things, but are almost immediately pushed back into the sand, only deeper than before.

When your base fails to come out, you simply change some policies and vector to the middle. But when it does come out but votes against you, you have a major problem. And it seems, from first glance, that this is exactly what happened.

I am a pessimist, so I see these as flukes. But then while counting my coins, I thought maybe $50, with a high of $120. I got nearly $300 when all was said and done. Pessimism is good. Still, one underestimate, or three, doesn't a tidal wave make. Still, I'm feeling happy in my pessimism.

It's a bale fire for the Democrats.

But I'm confident that Obama will continue down his same dismal path, blaming George Bush for his legion of failures, ignoring the national consensus against ObamaCare and with luck, it will usher in a new Republican administration.

All I can say is, before Mr. Turner takes Weiner's seat, I hope he has it sanitized.

This is mighty cheerful news, Opus! That and the Nevada one! That's 2 wins for us.

Esp. heartening in NY, where it's been like 80 years or something since they had a (R).

Hurray, it's getting better, I hear the Angels singing too.

I hope this trend continues into 2012. This is a great sign for the future. I heard this district wasn't happy with Obama's anti-Israel policies.

I hope Dems stay in denial. DE-NILE is a river in Egypt.

I read where Jon Stewart said the following:
- obamacare is a cluster....
- the dems screwed up the budget crisis. They could have passed a budget long before 2010 elections
- CNN is the worst news media entity going. Actually said "CNN is like grits without salt".

We may be getting somewhere.

I was only half-joking about Turner sanitizing Weiner's seat; guess the new Rep took me seriously: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/weiner_gets_brush_off_a1vNTFMYqECUbAxvnhz48M#ixzz1Y75QwnNy
