Obamacare's hidden, unlimited slush fund

Freedomworks is sounding the alarm on an unlimited slush fund they found. I guess whoever wrote Obamacare forgot to study up on the separation of powers and the Constitution.
Under our Constitution, only Congress has the power of the purse.  To formally delegate to the President the power to appropriate funds from the Treasury without stint or limit breaches the separation of powers in fact, if not in form.
In short, Section 1311(a) of PPACA is a dangerous, irresponsible, and arguably unconstitutional delegation of money and power to the Executive Branch.
Regardless of one's opinions about government-run health care, surely all Americans can agree that this slush fund gives the President -- any President -- too much power.
The vote is next week.  To learn more about this bill and related issues, visit our Obamacare Repeal War Room.

The Constitutional challenge to ObamaCare is making its way to the Supreme Court and then we shall see. The Bill had no severability clause built into it so it will either be retained in its entirety or struck down in its entirety-all 2,000 pages of it.

It doesn't matter. Obama ignores such things as the Congress, the Courts, and the People anyway.

The White House released a statement concerning the so-called 'unlimited slush-fund in the health care act' today.

'We understand there are some people who believe the President has...OHLOOKITSOMETHINGSHINY!!!!'

FWIW - If you folks haven't seen this yet The Supreme Court rejects an appeal from Virginia's attorney general, who had asked the justices to expedite review of the Affordable Care Act.

I don't view that as a bad thing outside of delaying a ruling. Some people like Michele Bachmann think allowing it to move forward for a year will end up sticking us with it. I hope Not.
In addition, the states may be able to protect themselves from this evil. Not ideal obviously if you live in a democrat friendly parasite state.

This is my biggest issue. If this doesn't get repealed I don't much care what else goes on because anyone who has studied government run healthcare knows how it will knock on your door every day once you get to the point of actually needing healthcare. Also given we are the last chance saloon for good heath care, We won't even have the option of crossing the border like Canadians do to get relief.

This is why they are making these bills so long. It's amazing what you can hide in a 2,000 page legal document.

Kawanio che keekeru!

"Song for St. Tamminy s Day." - The Old Song.

Of Andrew, of Patrick, of David, & George,
What mighty achievements we hear!
While no one relates great Tammany's feats,
Although more heroic by far, my brave boys,
Although more heroic by far.

These heroes fought only as fancy inspired,
As by their own stories we find;
Whilst Tammany, he fought only to free,
From cruel oppression mankind, my brave boys,
From cruel oppression mankind.

"When our country was young and our numbers were few
To our fathers his friendship was shown,
(For he e'er would oppose whom he took for his foes),
And made our misfortunes his own, my brave boys,
And he made our misfortunes his own.
"At length growing old and quite worn out with years,
As history doth truly proclaim,
His wigwam was fired, he nobly expired,
And flew to the skies in a flame, my brave boys,
And flew to the skies in a flame.

Obama is the unconstitutional president, dedicated to anything and everything that bypasses and goes against the constitution. Thanks for the heads up on this vote.
