Elizabeth Taylor dies at 79
Elizabeth Taylor was in the hospital being treated for a heart condition. She was 12 years old when she rocketed to fame in National Velvet (1944). She was the first star to be paid a million dollars for a movie when she starred in Cleopatra. During the 1980s she became involved in raising money for AIDS.

I really thought she was older than that. I remember back in the day she did keep us entertained with her love escapades.
One of my boyhood crushes.
Gone.
Her version of Taming of the Shrew is still one of my favorites - a classic beauty.
She was beautiful. She was entertaining on and off the screen.
I never did like her. She bore all the bad features my mother has, looked similar at times, and definitely a pants chaser, and in countless other ways. I actually half think she was my mother's role model. While I have learned to love and forgive my mother, not so much this one. Well, that and I did not find her to be worthy, in the world of beautiful woman. She just didn't cut it for me.
Now that she is dead, I seem to be able to let go (and possibly allow more forgiveness to my mother?). I hope she found peace, I hope she knew God, and I will pray for her soul.
Why I am so weak, I do not know. I suppose it is because I myself will need every bit of forgiveness God has in his bag myself. *sigh*
A classy Woman
