Marilyn Monroe fantasy: by Jack Benny

This is a gem of a skit. Monroe is in top form. She drips breathless sensuality while playing Jack Benny's fantasy sex symbol/cruise date. No wonder America was in love with her for so many years. She had a way about her of exaggerated femininity, while keeping a sweet, innocent tone that was pure magic.

A nation of men fell in love with her. And it's not difficult to see why.

That was very interesting and a great look into the past, Opie.
There will never be another Marilyn. The bimbo's that try to imitate her are shallow charactatures.

I hope your weekend is really great, it's snowing here AGAIN, yuk.

Well, I liked The Horn Blows at Midnight!
For a number of years I'd watch it on New Year's Eve and time it to end just at twelve. (Call me Mr. Excitement!)

That was a great fantasy! I can understand how JFK gave into temptation. Linked.

Marilyn is a true American icon. I love her in "Some Like it Hot" with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Thanks for sharing her.

I liked her, but I loved him. He was truly an American treasure.

Ah, my first girlfriend. I couldn't have quite been four yet, but I was sure I would marry her. I was, in ways, ahead of the curve. And yet hopelessly behind it in this matter. Unless, somehow, they make marrying ghosts legal? They are probably working on that in some Dem stronghold or other.
