TPP (Tea Party Patriots) has learned that the defunding of Obamacare is NOT in the Continuing Resolution currently in process!
We need you to call the GOP members of the House Rules Committee (where the first vote is expected in the next 24 hrs) immediately and urge them to support Rep. Steve King's amendment to defund Obamacare.
The GOP members of the Rules Committee, and their office phone numbers are:
Pete Sessions, TX-32 (202) 225-2231
Virginia Foxx, NC-5 (202) 225-2071
Rob Bishop, UT-1 (202) 225-0453
Rob Woodall, GA-7 (202) 225-4272
Richard Nugent, FL-5 (202) 225-1002
Tim Scott, SC-1 (202) 225-3176
Daniel Webster, FL-8 (202) 225-2176
Keep the pressure on and hold the GOP to its promises!
Here's what I say when I call,
"Hi I'd like to register my opinion on something. Please ask the Congressman to support Steve King's amendment to defund Obamacare in the continuing resolution. Thank you."
They may also ask for your name and address. There's no need to dodge this question. Just answer politely and move on to the next call.
The goal is to have such a dramatic volume of calls on the subject that the message is clearly sent.
Thank you for all you do!!
Congressmen Sessions, Nugent and Bishop's people assured me that they support the resolution and intend to defund Obamacare. The other people said that they would pass on the message, except for the offices of Scott and Foxx. Their phones went to answering machine and the message box was "full". Maybe we should defund the office staff for Foxx and Scott if they can't manage to empty out the message center on a daily basis?

Let's not be too hard on these people..heck, they're so busy they can't even READ THE BILLS we pay them to read! (sarcasm here, of course)
good for YOU, Opus...keep the pressure on, everybody!
These politicians need the military treatment because they are slacking way too much. These politicians are supposed to be working hard, not hardly working. I'll be making some phone calls tomorrow. Thank you for the info Opie.
I will be calling also.
Moving up a degree or two is so much better than giving the unwashed and clueless any simulacrum of subordinate power. The Oath of the Lodge is above All Others.
Until they are called out on this good `ole boys club - then this will only get worse. It won't matter how many calls or faxes are received by these demons!
Pressure's On !
I called each while I was sitting in front of your post and got the same result you did except that Foxx did go to voicemail and gave the opportunity to leave a msg. All assured me they supported defunding, with the exception of Webster's office who said they support repeal and replace. The young man said he had only been their four days and wasn't sure what was happening next.
Thanks for this Opie - definitely the volume of calls makes a huge difference.
