White House Plans to Hire Lawyers to Deal With Darrell Issa

Aren't both of the Obamas lawyers?

Rep. Fred Upton says it should be more about accounting and numbers than lawyers. Maybe Obama and his crew have a guilty conscience? And if our politicians turn out to be criminals, can we get our tax money back? Will the White House lawyers be paid for by our tax money? If that is so, shouldn't they get public defenders?

Holder didn't do anything about ACORN corruption, about the New Black Panthers voter intimidation, or about Wikileaks spying. Darrell Issa says that a good part of his oversight will be to pursue Eric Holder's failures.

Another main focus of the new congress will be cutting spending.

I am so happy that Issa plans real oversight starting immediately. God willing, the days of unfettered Washington graft and corruption are coming to an end. Hallelujah!

Also at American Power, Rep Darrell Issa slams Obama administration as "one of the most corrupt ever"-plans aggressive hearings in new congress.

I just want him to use a scapel not a sledge hammer. I don't think the masses are the in mood for something that could all too easily be called vindicative behavior.

I want him to investigate, of course, but to do it repsonsibily. The media and the white house will spin it that they are being power hungry. The last thing we need is another special prosecutor who spends millions and gets virtually nothing accomplished.

I have heard him say that he is going to talk to lower level people. A very good idea, I hope he sticks to it.

I did a show on the report of the committee headed by Mr. Issa on propaganda.
You and your readers can hear it here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/irate-tireless-minority/2010/12/29/irate-tireless-minority

Or just find a link to the show on my blog.

If Obama and his crew have a guilty conscience, its because they are guilty.....I hope Issa does what needs to be done, not just words.

Who is going to investigate the investigators. In 1980, Issa and a brother were indicted in San Jose on charges that they faked a theft of a Mercedes that was sold to a dealer, according to news clips. Prosecutors later dropped the charges.
In 1972, Issa was indicted on grand theft charges for allegedly stealing a red Maserati from a dealership in Cleveland.

CREW would like Issa to explain some of his investments in Goldman Sachs; by the end of 2009, Issa had between $5.1 million and $15.5 million invested in the embattled financial giant’s High Yield Fund. After the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a fraud lawsuit against Goldman Sachs in April 2010, Issa launched an investigation, alleging that the SEC may have timed the lawsuit to bolster the Democrats’ push for financial reform.

“The Goldman Sachs thing is the most troubling,” CREW’s Melanie Sloan says. “That he recently invested money with Goldman Sachs and then is making statements protective of Goldman Sachs suggests his views may be informed more by his own financial holdings than Goldman Sachs’ actions.”

Keep an eye on Issa. He has the capability to become the head RINO by burying issues. Watch what he does, not what he says.

Thank You Belle. Don't the crooks and crooked politicians ever quit. What a disgrace that these people represent us the American people.

To "deal with" Issa requires working lawyers. Scratch both obamas.

@ Belle,
Have you read the report? A report which was investigated and written by the COMMITTEE of which Mr. Issa is only the head?

It seems a bit disingenuous to imply that the work and conclusions of the entire committee are suspect because Mr. Issa's past has spots.

The report is very matter of fact. It states what was done, what the law is and how the actions of this administration and the 111th Congress violated the law.

Facts are facts regardless of who does the telling.

Gotta love more administration lawyers involved.

I did laugh this morning when I inadvertently saw some of the talking heads on NBC discussing how the American voter spoke loudly in demanding things get done in Washington and compromise is the vehicle. Interesting translation--not accurate, but interesting.

@slamdunk, compromise with the enemies of freedom is not possible. They wanted a cold civil war and they got it. Let's see how much they enjoy being on the losing end.

@belle, nice ad hominem attack on Issa. Is Soros trying to eliminate him already?

This is good news. It sounds like Issa is going to investigate the most corrupt administration thoroughly. I wonder whether there are going to be any surprises in what Issa uncovers about Obama & Co.

NICE !

And this administration is definitely the most corrupt, and that is saying something. Let's get them routed out. Let's shine lights on these cockroaches.

Teresa, good thought. Of course there has to be stuff going on that we don't know about. Stock up on popcorn.

Kid, it's about time.

I'm siding with Woodsterman up there - I'll believe it when I see it. That goes for ALL the promises that have been made to We the People, even those by our 'conservative' Congressional freshmen.

Nope, neither Obama is a lawyer, they both "gave up" their licenses. Odd, huh?
