This isn't an attitude, it's a life style.
And it's a good one, where the wife is happy and the husband is less likely to say or do something unauthorized and thus dangerous to his survival. It's honest and realistic. It recognizes the proper order.
In my 52 years on this earth and my 28 years of wedded bliss I've never met a man that claims to be the boss that actually is. He may think he is but that's just because his wife allows him to live in his fantasy world. And generally, neither he or his wife are happy.
A happy wife makes for a happy life. And she let you do things that the wives of the "boss" won't.
Oh come on Opie, the misses got that for him for Christmas ...
Cat, I like that he was willing to wear the shirt about town. He had just picked up his dry cleaning.
Odie, maybe last Christmas. This was at about noon on Christmas Eve.
Supi, he was sweet to pose for the picture. See? So cooperative and nice. He practically said "yes, dear" when I asked for the picture.
He simply realizes that women are smarter than men.
Wo, I found him en-dear-ing.
He obviously loves his wife. He would never wear the shirt if he didn't. They must have a wonderful sense of humor. There's nothing better than a man and a women who are happy to be together.

And writ large. I learned to say that, or as you wish (after showing the woman the Prince's Bride), and calling them ma'am. But saying it with conviction and sincerity! Odd things, but if said with sincerity... they can buy me time to escape whatever horrible fate they have had in mind!
My hubby's motto is Happy Wife, Happy Life. I am not sure who is really in charge, but he rarely will argue with me over meaningless things.
He goes with the flow and lets me do my thing.
