Dem believes that GOP "stranglehold" is due to the uneducated

I click one innocent-looking link to a census story on Huffpo and one of the first comments I read is a doozie. Basically says that the only reason Republicans have a hold on this nation is because the Republican base are rubes. Never properly graduated high school, and thus are easily fooled by the dastardly Karl Rove.

Could it possibly be that the "republican strangle hold" is due to independents realizing that the democrats were socialists in disguise? Infantile pacifists who would destroy our entire nuclear arsenal and declare unilateral peace on Earth? Guess how long that would last....

News flash, libs: Conservatives don't even trust the Republicans. We are trying to take over that party again, just like your Obama/Reid/Pelosi leftists took over the democrat party.

"karl rove is well aware, it s harder to fool a guy with a phd than a guy with a ged. the ged base is the republican strangle hold on the nation."-big tom

Babies think it is never their fault.

And by the way, this west coast rezident thanks the rest of you for voting conservative.  Keep going strong.  Libs are running scared.

One too many chromosomes, that's was Al Gores take.
The power of suggestion.
They are trying to come up with that phrase that will stick for spreading around the Gov. Media; and the little Libs will be happy to chant.

TSWS, when will they learn. The "Americans are stupid" meme doesn't win them any votes. Their disdain is part of the problem.

You know I graduated from Yale. I am not an idiot. I will tell you I certainly don't fall into the little box that they have for me. Ivy league college, grew up in New England, live in Northern Virginia. I should be a liberal, but I learned to think for myself!!! I guess all that money I spent at Yale finally paid off.

I know that you are Jewish, but enjoy your Christmas anyway.....

More propaganda from liberal elitists.

What bothers me is that so many Americans have bought into this propaganda.

Oh how far the dems have fallen. Weren't THEY supposed to be the party of "the working man/family" (liberal code for "the ged base"). Good, let's keep it up. There are plenty of blacks and Hispanics who aren't Ivy educated and who should know exactly what "their" party thinks of them.

Didn't I hear somewhere that the libs are the ones in charge of the edumacation in this country? We rubes and rednecks (I are one and so proud of it) are aiming our sites at the RINOs as well as the Libs as you say. We are coming for anyone that thinks they and this over powering government know better than we do about running our lives. It's time they all read OUR Constitution understand where we are coming from.

Face Facts: The erudite and educated progressives and elitist liberals are faced with a great unwashed mass who worship God according to the dictates of their consciences, sing God Bless America with fervor, own firearms and look up while jets fly over between liberal strongholds.

And the common people are not socialists because they have jobs, feed families and need to produce something in order to survive. They don't want to be coddled by the nanny state - they're not yet Europeans - and they voted.

It irritates the likes of George Soros (and the jester/hand puppet Obama), Barney Frank, etc. that the damned people have a vote. AND moreover that they have the gaul to protest.

I've heard every variation on that theme including 'Watching FOX News makes you stupid.'

Insult and complain. It is all they got. Which is a good thing.

Imagine what would happen if you had to pay Income tax or Property tax for 6 months since the last election and prior to the current election to vote. And to prove that you need ID. Oh My.

It is beyond me how people can call themselves democrats. Imagine how weak and dependent you need to be.

Great post and so well said Opie. Your line about Conservatives not trusting Republicans is spot-on.

Well, the leftists and their ilk couldn't fool me before I had one, and they can't fool me now that I've got one.

From personal observation, I can say that there is definitely a certain kind of stupid that you can only get in grad school.

Some of the biggest morons I've ever encountered have been big-name PhDs, and some of the wisest people I've ever met never went past high school. Lot's of schooling does not equal being educated.

It also does not mean that you never make typos.

I would guess that Big Tom has never really done much. I mean that in the reality mode. Since the GOP base is the productivity in the Republic, he must not have done well for himself.
And I know he can't come close to some of us.
And now that one of the standard bearers of their cause, one Patty Murray has pretty much belittled those of us who are "normal" in her statement concerning the DADT repeal.

I think this kind of thinking helped me helped me see the loony left for what it truly is.

Hummm, I have an IQ of 140, educated with a BA in a rigorous and difficult major in Math which requires a lot of deep, complicated logical thinking, and yet I find myself unable nor willing to ever vote for a Democrat, not that I always vote R, as I don't trust them either being soft socialist, but will never vote for a democrat. Why? It's clear their agenda is evil, racists, oppressive, socialistic, irresponsible, irrational and downright foolish. There is no solid nor sound reasons they give other than name calling, not any back with any credulous evidence. So this claim that only "stupid" people vote for Republicans isn't sound either. If anything, a vast majority of the stupid and ignornant vote for Dem's.
