Obama is a Sticky Lollipop

Not my child, but this pic is close.
I was driving with my youngest sitting behind me and he said, "OK, Mom." I knew this meant he was done with whatever was in his hand and he wanted to give it to me. I quickly reached back, knowing that if I didn't he would throw whatever it was onto the carpet of the car. I suddenly realized that he was giving me the lollipop that he had gotten at the doctor's office, head-first, and that he had not made much progress on it. So I found myself with a large, wet, sticky lollipop in the palm of my hand, and a long car ride ahead. After handling the difficulty, I got to thinking.

Obama's election was full of hope for many. A number of the Americans who voted for him wanted a change from politics as usual, and wanted the transparent and ethical administration that he promised. What they got was an unpleasant surprise. Most of Obama's cabinet and czars came from the corrupt Chicago world of machine politics and conducted themselves worse than their counterparts in the Bush administration. Obama's health reform consisted not of reform but of a government takeover on an impossible scale. Hundreds of governmental bodies were created to oversee doctors who will be reduced to little more than government bureaucrats. Those that stay in the business, that is. Obama voters laughed and scoffed at us when we warned that he was a socialist. How absurd, they said. How do you like increasing spending and tripling debt in one year to the point of rivaling European socialist countries. How's THAT for socialism. Do you believe us now? Do you believe now that our country is better off with socialism, the system that punishes people for working hard? Is that the America of our hopes and dreams? Or is that a country of immature babies. A place where people don't believe in themselves, don't believe in equal opportunity. Only equal outcomes, never mind who's property is stolen to make it happen.

No. Americans got a gooey, sticky lollipop thrust into the palm of their hands and they recoiled. How much, we will see tomorrow.

Remember to get out and VOTE.

Tomorrow looks purdy good for the home team, time to wash our hands of sticky liberalism. Don't know if it is Karma or the planets are just lined up correctly, but Tuesday is the "Day of the Dead" in Mexico, coincidence I doubt, time to send a buncha dem Dems to the political graveyard.

Come 2012, sure hope the obummer one ain't like gum on the bottom of your shoe, dang near impossible to git it scraped off. ;-)

I think that the Obama contribution - child like - was more like barf in the hand than the sticky lollipop.

I'd venture to say, that sticky lollipop is headed for the dumpster. Enjoy tomorrow because the work is just beginning.

That's a cute story, Opie! If only we could get rid of him so easily. I could say he's more like something that babies do (doo) that needs to be disposed of several times a day, but I won't go there....hee hee!

Can't wait until tomorrow! Have a fun night.

That's an analogy that sticks with me.

To me, however, this administration is like cockroaches dancing the Watusi on my computer keyboard. It's not a pleasant thing for anyone and you always wake up in the morning with the dread that the administration has left more "surprises" overnight.

This is a good play on things to come.
Doing what we do is never with out the mess that is the aftermath from liberal temper tamper tantrum outburst, there will be a lot of that in the days/weeks to come.
Some how it is if the work has just begun.
Next will be a new identity, and new direction from which to joust. Tell tell signs will be recognizable.
1500 yrs of experience seems to be to much for some to grasp, but when it is the same old plays from century to century; ruling class trying to maintain their grasp on the moochers as they are calling the people, who the elites think are using up all the resources that the elite has self proclaimed; requires jumping around to be an undetected contestant jouster.

You have a sweet way with words.

I am partial to Tootsie Pops myself, that soft center is worth crunching thru the outer shells.

I agree this president is a sucka that leaves a sour taste in my mouth, good thing I can't get my hands on him.

Tomorrow we are just taking the lollipop from the hand. It will be far from thrown out. We have much work to do. Wednesday is day one.

Oh, the local media actually did cover that incident with my congressman this morning. Amazing!! Sadly, he will probably still win, but it is going to be very close for the first time.

That's great. Did you hear that the White House gave out no candy, but DRIED FRUIT. Talk about a bunch of disappointed kids! I bet Michelle ate all the candy before the kids got there, hhahahah

Dried fruit for HALLOWEEN????

Do they give their kids clothes for their birthday and Christmas? Maybe a nicely wrapped package of socks and underwear?

I hope the lollipop and Obama's croonies both wind up discarded.

We shall see tomorrow.

I hope the election's like one BIG WET CLOTH to cleanse ourselves of the big sticky MESS Obama's created for us.
VOTE VOTE VOTE (and pray!) :-)

Man, I've experienced that lollipop thing. You just can't get the stickiness off of there until you stop and wash your hands thoroughly.

This post was a GRAND-SLAM home run!

I am feeling really good today!!!

Oh, by the way, I seem to remember reading they don't give their children Christmas gifts.

I am off to the Tea Party Patriots watching party. Here's to it turning out in a way that will make us happy!!

It's still going to be a sticky lollipop for a couple of more years.
