Socialism Viewed Positively by 36% of Americans-Gallup

PRINCETON, NJ -- More than one-third of Americans (36%) have a positive image of "socialism," while 58% have a negative image. Views differ by party and ideology, with a majority of Democrats and liberals saying they have a positive view of socialism, compared to a minority of Republicans and conservatives.

Americans' Image of Socialism

Oh dear. This explains a lot. No wonder we are locked in a battle for control of our country. The parasites have taken over. But we can beat them back of we band together. American small business should NOT be treated like a host organism. Cynical socialists win supporters by whipping up class envy. They forget that the poor do not provide jobs.
I also view this as a failure of our educational system. The socialists have made deep inroads into American society.

Socialism doesn't ask the right questions, nor does it answer many of them properly. Most of these polls are loaded anyway. I would love to see the question sheet for this one.

Yes, this is not good news. But if we handle the immigration issue correctly we can win over millions of hispanics who are hard workers and don't have an entitlement philosophy. They believe in God, Family, Government in that order. They are also our last hope of preventing Islam becoming a dominant faith in the next 20 - 30 years.

Do these dweebs have ANY idea what socialism is?

The parasites in society always feel as if it's fine to have "eaters of other men's bread" in their midst, particularly if they're not eating THEIR bread.

I have offered a challenge to liberals who "talk the talk". The challenge is for them to "walk the walk".

TO LIBERALS - If you want my admiration, go find two families, one homeless, one illegal. Take them into your home, feed them, clothe them, house them, and allow them to "live off your personal efforts"...forever.

Pay for their healthcare, send their children to college, even if it means you have to work two or even three jobs. In other words, show me by example and "walk the walk". (no liberals have taken me up on my challenge to date)

BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO. I have enough trouble providing for my own family.

That's not to say I'm without compassion or that I'm opposed to a safety net for the poorest among us. However I see no need to destroy the American healthcare system for the benefit of the waystrels.

Hollywood did a movie about this. It was called, "Down and Out in Beverly Hills". Liberals should watch the movie.

Sorry Opie, None of this surprises me. Another word for Liberal is socialist. I'm surprised, however, by the Conservatives and Republicans leaning that way. I would change your next to last sentence though. I think it should read: "I also view this as a success of their indoctrination System."

The evils of socialism stopped being taught in schools when the cold war ended.

I forgot something ... Their battle cry shouldn't be Liberals or Socialist unite. It should be "Takers Unite".

Bluepit, It bothers me to learn that so many fellow Americans do not revere the system that has made us great.

Rotti, good point.

Wofat, I wonder why they don't move to a socialist country, if they want that system so much.

Opus #6 said...

LL, liberals are generous with other people's money.

Opus #6 said...

Odie, conservatives must get involved with schools. Enough is enough.

Bill, that was our first mistake.

Your spot on about this being the fault of the education system. I would say it is by design, not thru failure...

Opus #6 said...

Toaster, according to Yuri Bezmenov, that was the communist plan.

I don't think that they fully understand what socialism is. Many wealthy people (Soros for example) think that socialism is ok, but is he really willing to give up his own money? I think not. It is really easy to think that socialism is ok as long as your lifestyle doesn't change. Sooner or later, the pay man cometh to you. If they understand that, they will change their tune.

Only 36% after all of the pro-socialist movies and pro-socialism agenda we've had to put up with since the 60s?

They must be loosing their touch! LOL

I'd be willing to wager that a majority of that 36% are living on the dole already and don't want to do something radical like, dare I say it, work.

Opus #6 said...

Chris, that reminds me. My first husband used to say that no good deed goes unpunished. That is what we get for putting people on the dole. They become ardent socialists.

Opus #6 said...

Necro, looks like you had a nice group that day. I have tea party photos on my blog from April 15th too. Great day.

George, that's another way of looking at it. :-D

It all stem from the socialist takeover of our public schools. They have successfully brainwashed millions.

This is a long term ideological battle that will not be won with a couple of elections. If we are to win this battle we must either take back our public schools, or develop an affordable private alternative.

Trestin, as you are part of the younger generation, I find it heartening to see your full grasp of the issues. Bravo!
