Is Yemen Tomorrow's War?

Why is it that only TODAY did I learn that fully HALF of the detainees remaining at GITMO are from Yemen? Is this some sort of secret? Why is it that TODAY I learned that one of the Gitmo detainees released in 2007 to Saudi Arabia disappeared following some sort of anti-terror class, and resurfaced on Yemen as the head of Al Quaeda there? Why is it that a man with known connections to Yemen's Al Quaeda was NOT placed on a no-fly list and allowed to fly in an airplane to Detroit? A man who follows the very same Imam who was linked to Hasan, the Fort Hood muslim terrorist? Why is it that Homeland Security seems to busy itself more with Americans who read the Constitution than foreigners who openly call for America's destruction? I, for one, am tired of it. Something's got to change.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) Sunday said that Yemen could be the ground of America's next overseas war if Washington does not take preemptive action to root out al-Qaeda interests there.

Lieberman, who helms the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said on "Fox News Sunday" that the U.S. will have to take an active approach in Yemen after multiple recent terrorist attacks on the U.S. were linked back to the Middle Eastern nation.

The Connecticut senator said that an administration official told him that "Iraq was yesterday's war, Afghanistan is today's war. If we don't act preemptively, Yemen will be tomorrow's war."

The information is out there, it is not just being covered by MSM. I guess I have a leg up since my husband does this stuff for a living, I hear about this stuff all the time. Maybe I should blog about it more to get it out there.

I am not to accepting of the Demos decisions, and or with ideology, pertaining foreign matters. Especially with their PC guide to the Universal World Peace.
Bow and Surrender Sovereignty.

JACG, it is sad that we have to be our own news reporters. Our media are doing a poor job.

TSWS, The bowing and scraping are proven by history not to work. Appeasement didn't work worth a darn in WWII. Jihadis only laugh at appeasers.

Yemen is really the second home of radical Wahhabism (root religious faction of Al Qaeda) and always has been. I don't see why it would be the next war when the root is in Saudi Arabia... except that the Saudis pay our politicians off and Barack Hussein Obama bows to the king.

I'm not advocating an attack on Saudi Arabia, I'm not advocating an attack on Yemen either. A lot of the Wahhabi radicals run to Yemen when it's too hot for them in the Kingdom of Saud.

I find it interesting that Lieberman puts them ahead of Iranian interests as the current hit parade. Maybe the Israelis haven't been successful in making their case to him.

The Obama presidency has been very bad for our foreign policy as it applies to the entire world, but it's more obvious in the Middle East and the Asian Subcontinent.

The Wahhabists have also made significant inroads in Malaysia and Indonesia where poverty makes their brand of "push the world back to the 8th Century AD" appealing. There weren't Indonesians on the aircraft on 9/11/01, but there COULD have been.

So Yemen, sure, but the cancer spread.

This is the "New War", also.

This is very scary, Opie, I saw it on the news today too. I am deeply afraid for America. We are sitting ducks and we have no one to defend us, esp. our own Government. Well, I need some laughs, off to watch funny vids. Have a nice night. The horror show never ends for me, unfortunately, back to hell tomorrow.
I hope you have a relaxing week.

It's no coincidence the USS Cole was blown to shit BEFORE 9/11. Keep Yemen in your thoughts. You WILL be hearing more about that place's connection to Osama.

Ope, I hate to say this, but the entire Middle East is tomorrow's war.

LL, I'm not advocating any specific attack either. Just wondering....

Bunni, sorry you have to work with those goons.

Snarky, the Yemenis seem to be everywhere at once. Such a coincidence....

Nickie, I wish they did not teach so much hate. Working to maximize civilian casualties is evil.

The MSM needs to quit their day job because they're really sucking at informing the American people of the important news.

We must keep a eyeful watch on Yemen and its connections to terrorism. And, I hope our governmeent keeps a close watch on Yemen for I fear if our government becomes lackadasical then there will be another 9/11 attack on our country.
