Great pick, Opie. I won't spoil it either....lot's of parallels.
Where did you find that Opie ? Don't they know it was really the Emperor that did to get them into a war ?Was that blue milk ????
Bunni, thanks. You are the humor expert, so I am glad when you are pleased.
Odie, I found the vid via a tweet on twitter. You who avoid twitter are missing out on some great story ideas. The blue milk made me laugh so hard. Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen served blue milk to Luke Skywalker when they were eating a family meal on Tatooine in the original Star Wars movie.
I've long had my doubts about that whole Darth Vader thing. And Senator Palpatine, aka the Emperor? That's how Al Gore looked when he found out about the Global Warming email loss. Pity.
Now, we could have used a few guys like that in Iraq...we never had enough combat comics! I had to do the work of 20 comics all by myself....I ran out a stand up material 4 months into the deployment. But these dudes would have been great.
Wo, PITY!! HA! I love that line!
CI Roller, I agree, these guys would be great for morale.
Oh Opie, I am on the twit thing, but I keep a very low profile.I missed the blue milk in the movie.
Odie, you must follow my twitter account, in that case. Don't you want to see my tweets? I know I want to see yours.
The blue milk. Ha. Thing is, the summer that movie came out I was 13 years old with absolutely nothing to do except get on a bus a couple of times a week with a friend of mine and go watch that movie. I must have watched it about 15 times in the theater that year. Ah, fun times. So I am a FOUNT of trivia on the original Star Wars movie. I had the hugest crush on Luke Skywalker.
