Thoughts on Revolution

I hate to even bring this up. But it is the elephant in the room isn't it. Revolution. Counterrevolution. The Statists are hard at work at it. They labor daily to dismantle the civil society brick by brick. They even state that as their goals. WHAT ARE WE TO DO.

I have good news. Our nation's founders addressed this issue directly. In the Declaration of Independence:

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security....

Mark Levin states in his book, Liberty and Tyranny, "The Founders were very careful to explain that revolution is a last resort compelled only by the imposition of an absolute despotism. No right-thinking Conservative today would encourage overthrowing the United States government, for he does not toil under the iron fist of absolute despotism, even though the Conservative is alarmed at the Statist's growing success in substituting arbitrary state power for ordered liberty."

Don't forget what Tom McClintock said in Fresno on October 24, 2009. "We are locked in a battle over control of our nation with what can only be described as the lunatic fringe. If this is allowed to pass it will be the biggest mistake since Hoover messed up to cause the Great Depression. Something is stirring across America today...and that is the American Spirit. What can WE do. Agitate, agitate, agitate. Stand up and speak out every chance you get, in person and online.
The Obama left might have super majorities, but they have lost the American People. Your voices have made a difference. If you keep doing what you are doing every day, you WILL HAVE SAVED OUR COUNTRY."

Stay engaged. Recruit volunteers for good local candidates. Recruit bloggers. Learn about Twitter. Write to your representatives. Schedule in-person meetings with your representatives and go to their office armed with facts. 2010 is a lot closer than it used to be. Hang in there.

I RTed this with the following: No revolt. Just a few rusty pitchforks in certain behinds.

When I look at the police state America is becoming, a state where even the police are enforcing the power gains of government, I fear we may have to use that last resort.

It's always in the back of my mind, and moving forward incrementally.

The 2010 election is pivotal. A block against the Democratic hegemony in the executive and legislative branches of government is necessary to forestall talk of radical solutions.

Dr. Dave, somebody mentioned tar and feathers as well.

Bill, many of our peace officers are also Constitutional Oathkeepers.

Nickie, I hope a big conservative win in this Tuesday's elections sets the opposition back on its heels. That will help to hold the line until next year's elections. Either way, though, Americans are voting with their TV remote. Fox News' ratings have never been so high. That has to indicate something.

LL, is it 2010 yet?

Odie, I will try not to interrupt you.

We Virginians will be sending a message next week. The republicans are in a position to not just win, but win big. The legislator should be in the hands of some very good conservatives.

We are hitting the hill again tomorrow morning to protest the press conference about the healthcare bill.

I feel like all the work I have done over the past few months is paying off. Too bad it came to this, but at the same time people are standing up. Many for the first time ever, so that is the postive that has come out of Obamanation.

LL, I agree. 2010 will tell us much.

Let's observe:
-the Dems plan for a new domestic army
-the Dems and the SRM's extremely visible push to label conservatives as domestic terrorists, from janet neapolitan ice cream all they way down to the muck at the bottom of the latrine, matthews and olbermann.

They plan for the revolution.

This tells you they expect one.

This tells you they plan to do things to cause the revolution to come to pass.

It couldn't be any plainer.

What we have right now is a "Cold" civil war. Currently there is enough structure left the framework of our laws that it is conceivable that it could be turned around peacefully.

One question to consider is: what will the response of The Left be when they are voted out of office, or after that happens, when their socialist structure is overturned by conservative lawmakers?

Opus #6 said...

Guy, I expect them to go pound sand. But realistically, they will go back to plotting and planning. They never go away. They can be contained, though. I hope we can reclaim our schools and begin teaching history and civics to our children again. The kids don't know enough on graduation to inoculate themselves against the scourge of socialist/communist rhetoric. The libs say their way is more "compassionate" and the youngsters buy it hook, line and sinker.

Kid, they planned on having ACORN there to do the election dirty work. The best laid plans go oft awry.

I am with all you guys on everything so far.

To speak of armed revolution is att his point premature and, at the expense of sounding harsh, silly.

We do not know what the top brass of the army would do and therefore any talk of taking up arms is a bad idea.

however, when enough people wake up and smell what is cookin' we may hvae more marching in the streets.

Everything the politicians do, can be undone. It may not be easy and it may not make us friends oversees, but if they do it, it can be un done.

I believe there is a majority of us, but we have not completely figured out what to do yet.

Opus #6 said...

KOOK, if you keep talking like this, I will have to insist you change your name.

The Keeper Of Odd Knowledge (KOOK) said...

What would you make me change my name to?

The Keeper Of Odd Knowledge (KOOK) said...

The thing is we do not have to become violent. There is no reason to. If we are truly this unhappy and if, as we all believe, we are in the majority then all we have to do is vote them out.

Now I do not know how far they will push us. But I do agree thaat they need to start being careful bcause you cannot push people forever without causing violence but violence would at this point be extremely I'll advised and ultimately backfire. That would be the crisis needed to further increase control.

Kook, agreed. If you refuse to act kooky, maybe your name should be "level-headed thinker". ;-)
