Obituary of the United States

Subject: This is some Obituary
OBITUARY
Born 1776, Died 2008
It does not hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republicans won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Good one Opus as it shows the urban dilemma we face, and until they all realize they've been had by the liberal loon dems, cities like Chicago cancel out an entire state's worth of conservative votes here in Illinois, and elsewhere.

It's a real problem for this country, #1 reason why ACORN needs to be destroyed.

This is an amazing post. I 'snagged' it for my blog, and linked to you. Thank you. I hope it makes people wake up.

Ray, I feel the same way in CA. The libs in the big cities outweigh the conservatives in the whole state. Frustrating.

Linda, great! Spreading the word is what blogging is all about. Political blogging, at least.

You know what, this is actually good news. I knew we had the land, the numbers, and the guns . . . but it's nice to have the reminder. We're winning this one, no worries. I say let the Dems have their low-rent districts, let them have their socialist government, and we keep America, our constitutional republic. Let's see how "wealth distribution" and "social justice" works when we patriots decide to put a stop to this nonsense once and for all.

Fuzzy Slippers, secession looks tempting when you see how bunched up we are politically. Can you imagine how prosperous a country we could have without all of the social engineering? Real jobs for people willing to work? Ooops. I am daydreaming again.

Something's got to give, and they aren't budging. I'm all for giving them a state or two, letting them try their utopian pipe dream and watching them fail because they all sit on their arses expecting US to pay for everything. AND we let them. That's the kicker.

Sad and shocking

Fuzzy, the only problem with that plan is they would want California. I am stuck here due to familybissues, so I'd be in a bad way. So back to plan A. Let's vote them out in 2010 and 2012.

Fuzzy's dad, sadness and shock. My work here is done. ;-)

Hey Opus - great post. I was so inspired I wrote an entire post of my own because of the thoughts your post brought to my mind, and I linked you with props.

Thanks for finding this one... :)

I keep thinking back to 8th grade Civics and remembering the word GERRYMANDER.

Scary stuff, especially that last line. I believe amnesty is going to be the next item on the list of Obamanations. Another battle in this war to save our Republic.
Thanks for posting this.

Sol, you did great things with the idea. Lovely blog post. Great picture up top, too. This is one of the reasons I love blogging so much. Interacting with people like you, exchanging ideas, growing together... It is really wonderful.

Nickie, they have Gerrymandered the HECK out of California already with the prior amnesty. More states will fall if we allow it to happen again.

TCL, they never stop or slow from their "campaign mode" and so must we not.

Well, since you said that we can't stop our campaign, I have the next radical we need to try and stop. A former lobbyist and union boss that they are trying to foist on us.

He is quite scary. We need to write our Senators and quick.

LOL, Opus, you got it. :)
There really aren't, I don't believe, enough of them committed enough to this administration's radical cause to warrant their getting California (many dems, I think, still believe they are part of the "old" democratic party). And you know me, I'm not *really* advocating any form of un-uniting the U. S.; this is our country. We just need to take it back.
