What other story can you apply this too in recent days? The word is out. Journalists are lazy.

If you pay real close attention to this video, though, it seems more of a Bill Maher critique. You know, from the time he told Obama to stay off TV, and to do like George Bush did (ram things through, in his opinion). Stewart seems to want CNN to more aggressively go after conservatives and to avoid gimmicky things like the 'fact check' on SNL. Thoughts?

Thanks...I needed some good Jon Stewart today. :-)

Candle, he said CNN and other media fail to report on Tea Parties and other Washington marches. That was a good observation. He then criticized them for running out of time instead of checking facts on malpractice insurance reform. Then made fun of them for waffling on the #s of the uninsured. He got really upset when Orrin Hatch said they were on the slippery slope to ruining the best HC system in the world, and the other guy said the drug companies were backing Obamacare. Then he wants to know if they can check the # of whether ins premiums would go up under Obamacare.

So yes, it does seem he wants them to bust the buns of the conservatives, as he used their statements and characterized them as inappropriate. Same as SNL. They were gibing Obama to work harder and accomplish more of the left wing agenda.

I think it is interesting, however, to see dissension in the ranks of the libs. SNL gets fact-checked by CNN. Jon Stewart ridicules CNN. He must figure he needs to go on the offensive before they start fact checking HIM.

Michele, glad I could help.

Jon, great job.

Opus,
I LOL'd at 9:33.

Anyway, yes a testament to the total lack of critical thinking by those who seriously watch CNN and especially msnbc - then the rest of the state run media.

PS- Just to keep it alive a little while longer, the stupidest thing I've ever heard a leftie media person say was Alan Colmes, after the plane landed with the front landing gear pointed 90 degrees to the right, which caused it no problem in landing btw. He asked "Why can't they test the landing gear before they take off."

Yes, Alan, why can't the cabin crew exit the plane, assemble on the tarmac then reach up under the wings and lift a 496,000 pound Boeing 777 up in the air while the pilot runs the landing gear up and down a few times to check it. It escapes me as well Alan.

Wonder what Alan's up to these days.

That was outstanding. Refreshing to see a liberal who is actually funny, too. You know, the problem they have is that good humor has a grain of truth in it, usually.

Thanks for posting, Opie.
