The sad truth about 9/11 now in retrospect is the loss of freedom which has occured in the United States in the last eight years. I doubt anyone on those planes and buildings would feel honored by the path of the government in their memory.
Very Nice! (I cannot figure out how to put it up at my blog..)
I'll never forgot, Opus #6. Thanks for posting these. I've favorited the video on my youtube channel to listen to after my 6 hours of meetings today (bleck!).
Bill, it is like that famous quote. People who would trade freedom for security deserve neither.
Gia, I gave you the link to the you tube page with the embed code. Blogger won't allow me to put the embed code into a blog comment. I hope that helps.
Dr. Dave, turn up the volume and blast the song when you need a patriotic pick-me-up.
It's getting harder to recall the emotion since the MSM removed any footage of the event. We live in a nation where the media conveniently rewrites history.
Nickie, just like the Chinese are.not allowed to learn about Tian An Men square. How did this happen to America. :-(
I'm not sure that we traded freedom on 9/11 for security. We lost the freedom to talk overseas to terrorists. The Government has to respond to actual, physical emergencies. Its up to the electorate to decide which is a real emergency (someone sneaking a nuke into a city) verses a fabricated emergency (omg, nobody has health care, everyone's going to die if I don't get my way).
Nice one Lady.
The Chinese do not need to know about the lies of Tian An Men square! There is no Tian An Men square! It is more of a rectangle anyway, and nobody died there...they were just astro turf special interest thugs! Oh wait...I thought I was posting on my own blog..ho hum, my bad.
Candle, a good start would be gaining control of our own borders. It seems such a no-brainer after 9-11. Control the border and stop terrorists and drugs from going freely in and out. And if immigrants have to "go legal" all the better.
USA Admiral, ooo, when an Admiral calls me a lady. Oooo! Thanks.
Regarding controlling the borders, going legal, etc. You have to understand, these populations that sweep across our borders are easily dejected from their goal. There's an incredibly moving, touching, gripping film called "Which Way Home", about illegal immigrant children sneaking into our country. I can't help but feel bad for them, because I'm 2/3 human (1 rattlesnake). Anyway, they nearly turn around at almost every turn - mainly because crossing the desert after reaching the border is so incredibly dangerous. Its almost as if putting up a scarecrow on the border would be enough to tip the balance. Securing OUR boarder, if you actually look into it, is easy. Rounding up illegals is also easy - just not politically, because illegals are seen by other illegals (democrats) as a great source of votes, eventually.
Candle, my housekeeper's sister, I kid you not, died crossing the border. She decided to cross in June. A heat spell hit, and she died. Controlling the border might save lives.
Opus, seriously, I'm really sorry to hear that. Controlling the border would definitely save lives. Seriously, this show was on Discovery or something, if you get a chance and feel like a good cry, see it. Very sad about the housekeeper's sister.
I will look for that show, Which Way Home. Thanks.
I have not forgotten about Sept. 11, but am afraid others within this country already have forgotten these tragic events. Thanks for the nice song.
Teresa, I have a good feeling about us. I think our spirit is contagious.
Thank you for showing me this one. This is on one blog (you know) now and on all three after midnight. There will two others on all three blogs by 1:00 AM. "Our" president won't step up to the plate tomorrow so we must. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. !!!
