It's too much

Today's Headlines. It's too much. Terrorist threats everywhere. Foreign nutjobs spewing hate and inappropriate LOVE. It is overwhelming.

Drudge's headlines today:

Why are these terrorists coming out of the woodwork? Er. Could it be that there is a lack of DETERRENCE? Could it be that they know we don't have the will, as a country led by President Pantywaist, to fight terrorism? Oh, yeah. Contingency operations. Not terrorism anymore. There is no such thing as terrorism. It's OK as long as they blow up the other guy, right?

And here are some other inspirational stories on Gateway Pundit's:

Gee, isn't it grand to know that Iran has MORE nuke facilities. Just warms the cockles of my heart. NOT. What will President Pantywaist do about it? Oh, nevermind. He is too busy at the UN lovefest to worry about these types of details. Also, Gaddafi spoke of Obama "my son". He must have known about the donation. Does this strike anyone as odd? Or is it just me. And a world without nukes. Ummm, great. Can't unbreak that piggy bank. Anyone who operates as if it is possible is a child. Grown ups understand the power of deterrence and peace through strength.

You're blog has become another place for me to come for my news, rounded up and presented in a tight package. Thank you. Just driving in to work today I was trying to figure out just how many terrorist threats had recently been uncovered, and couldn't quite sort them out.

An unusual amount of bizarre news this morning. You know what Opus, some days I don't even know what to talk about, for instance the $400k Gaddafi charity story. Or how about how Gaddafi thinks Obama is 'his son'? Keep up the spirit!

It was a really depressing day to hit Drudge. I didn't even want to try to analyze anything. I need happy news right now.

The Mrs. and I have stopped at the BBQ spot where Smadi, the Jordanian, worked in Italy, Texas. This was during the period when he worked there - but I don't recall him specifically. No reason to.

We've also driven by the little Geodisic Dome village where he lived, probably half a dozen times in the past couple of years. It's off the highway on the old road by Italy.

I haven't been inside the Fountain Park building in Dallas, but we're around the downtown area near it on occassion.

Some people are foolish enough to think that they are safe if they just don't poke the snake with a stick. The people in the targeted office building in Dallas didn't do ANYTHING to Smadi. They were just there, and seemingly vulnerable. That's all that was necessary to make them a target.

Opus, I am with Candle's statement all the way!! Thanks for your "watchdogging"!! I get so confused and can't keep up, and I am not a stupid person, so thanks for keeping me updated!! Have a good day!!

Candle, I think that is part of the Alinsky plan. Overwhelm us and desensitize us to the news.

I will continue to shine a light on their bad behavior. Sunshine is the greatest disinfectant.

Left Coast Rebel, I couldn't decide either. That's why I wrote the post the say I did. It really *is* too much.

Bill, that's the great thing about the blogosphere. We all contribute. And if one of us is having a bad day or needs some time off, the others pick up the slack. We gotta do what we can, without allowing ourselves to be damaged to the point that we can't continue.

Opus #6 said...

Paladin, that is eerie, that you are so close to the plot. I am so glad nobody got hurt.

Gia, thanks, hon. If we all do what little we can, together it adds up to a lot.

Opus: incredible read on the real state of this economy. It explains the recent "stock market rally", which for the life of me I couldn't figure out.

It is a wonder we have not been had more successful incidents by the terrorists since 911. Honestly, the news was horrifying

If we had any but Dear Leader in charge of our welfare, it would be a time of concern. The Change I Could Believe In is here now.

* No more corruption in government or in Dear Leader's ranks.

* Everyone love us now that Dear Leader is with us. Children pray to him in school each day instead of pledging to the flag.

* We're disarming because there is no more need for nuclear deterrence. The world is safer because Dear Leader says it is.

* The mainstream media keeps us apprised of Dear Leader's triumphs and those of his friends.

* Islam will become the dominant religion on the planet and though it will mean that I need to grow a beard and live in 6th Century AD mode, once everyone is a Muslim (or dead) peace will be assured. Dear Leader has showed us the way again.

No news is bad news. Watch MSNBC - they'll explain it to you.

Thanks for the neatly packaged overview of the latest news. Obama has displayed such naivety that I'm close to thinking he only believes in illusion, magic, or movies instead of reality. Obviously, the terrorists are capitalizing on our extremely weak President since so many terror plots have been uncovered recently. And, his International friends are United States's enemies, *UGH*.

We live in a dangerous world Opus. I wish the libs would realize that.

Opus #6 said...

Candle, I will check that out. From what I understand, China and Japan could pull the rug out from under our economy at any time they want to. Our indebtedness makes us vulnerable.

Opus #6 said...

Chief, every thwarted attempt is a victory. Every life saved is a world saved.

Opus #6 said...

LL, I'll have to call my cable channel to get MSPMS re-instated.

Opus #6 said...

Teresa, it is a topsy turvy world.

Opus #6 said...

Ticked, understanding of the world's dangers got George W. Bush re elected. Forgetting the lessons of 911 is what allowed Obama to be elected.

The best defense is a good offense. I can't wait until we gain a leadership, a true leadership for this country, that grasps that statement and puts it into practice.

Nickie Goomba said...

I have to agree with Paladin.. The snake is there, and we all ignore it at our peril. If, or when, we suffer another maior attack, Rahm and Hussein will use the event to sieze more power.

WoFat said...

It is good that the terrs are coming up. Makes them easier to reach.

Opus #6 said...

Red, true leadership hopefully awaits this country in 2013.

Opus #6 said...

Nickie, hopefully a change in legislators in 2010 can minimize any further executive power grabs.

Opus #6 said...

Wo, you are right. It is good to catch the bad guys.

I just looked at Drudge, it is awful. I'm off fridays so I do stuff around the house. I was updating my blog design with the wonderful help of Odie! I tend to look at the news sites more when I'm at work...ha ha.

It was an esp. awful day. I'm burnt out and horrified by how it gets worse every minute!
I think I"ll do a post with a cute video, and try to cheer people up! I hope you have a good night, Opie.
