9.11 A New Yorker's Perspective

Raw footage from a family in New York. No music, just an American family filming and coping with the unfolding horror. Thank you, Soloman, for posting this. I had not known about this video. Note in particular, the loud chirping of the firefighter's emergency locator devices after the towers fell. So many lost on that day.

Thank you for sharing this. I could only bear to watch half of it, until the tower fell.

Hi Opus!
This is truly something.
I hope we never have to experience it again.
Have a great day!

The resolve to keep our country save does not abide with Dear Leader or his toadies.

This is a sobering video.

I could only watch so much of this (at work) before stopping it. I really don't wanna start crying or becoming overly solumn at work - the coworkers wouldn't understand, which is part of the problem we have in this country.

By the way, I'll be in DC tomorrow protesting - hope you will all be there.

I am terrified even more by what she captured. The media didn't even come close to getting what she did on that day.

I think remembering 9/11 in this year is of particular importance, not that it isn't important enough in it's own right.

I can't watch things like this without crying. It is still too painful. Which is a good thing, the minute that I get de-sensatized to this I will need to see a doctor.

As a side note, just got back from some activism classes in DC. It is filling up with conservatives. A sight that warms my heart. I am usually pretty alone here. A good day to see so many people who are fighting for their country and its' freedoms.

Wow, Opie, this is really something. Thanks for posting it, I'll have to go thank Solomon too, and also keep all the murdered victims in my prayers! Such an awful thing to happen. And obama isn't doing anything to prevent it from happening again, I fear.

Candle, great that you will be in DC. I am aware of Just A Conservative Girl, Teresamerica, KOOK, among others who are already in place in DC and blogging from the road. Keep an eye on the blog post titles on my blogroll these next couple of days to see the first hand accounts. Hey, if you have pics and a story and find it is not appropriate for your blog, I am happy to publish them for you. Just let me know.

Wow, that'd be awesome if you could post some stuff of mien. I kinda wanna take my video camera - we'll see. Depends on the wife, who is kinda sick and may or may not go. If she goes, I may be carrying a lot already. Cheerio.

Candle, I find that the videos from the little still digital cameras work great on You Tube. The low quality makes them load up faster. And if you keep each vid to under 3 minutes, it is so much more palatable for the average blog reader. And make sure to get pics of all the great signage. I LOVE the signage.

This is what I wrote everywhere else:

I'll just share that from my drive home on 9-11-2001 around 5 pm, and for many days afterwards, I would be on the freeway literally screaming at GW Bush to 'Do Your Job You Son of a Bitch !"

I didn't know anything about GW Bush, and we just had 8 years of a worthless bastard in the Oval office, who did little more than shed fake tears for 19 sailors who died aboard the USS Cole, at the hands of these vermin.

Thankfully, GW Bush did do his job by taking the fight to them, and moving the battlefield to Their soil.

All other criticisms aside (I have several), at least he did his job in this regard. It now looks like we're going to go back to not taking this organization seriously, and becoming both the laughing stock, and a big target once again, for the mindless morons of the Middle East.

- and I'm as passionate today as I was then.
