Timothy Geithner may have a problem when the Department of the Treasury slaps a tax lien on the property...wait a minute. No, he should be able to "fix" that.

He used to work for Kissinger Associates. Maybe Henry could find a buyer for him. Henry knows people.

The bathroom tile MUST go - but then again, so must Geithner.

What a wanker - None of these Lefties could organise a piss-up in a brewery! Like our Labour politicians, they have absolutely no idea what they are doing or how the real world functions. I don't know how it is in the US, Opie, but here they seem to come straight out of university and into politics with absolutely no experience of the outside world. The only thing they seem to be any good at is pursuing their hidden agendas with zeal while wasting vast quantities of public funds in the process and sooner or later, all Lefty administrations eventually run out of other people's money to blow and it's once again left to the Conservatives to sort out their mess. House prices are rising here by a minuscule amount which will probably tumble again after this little summer spurt of buying at rock bottom. These are not green shoots of recovery and it is completely disingenuous of politicians to try to talk the economy up in this way.

Red, I laughed too. He he.

That tile was something, huh?

Spidie, it seemed to me that Obama set out to choose the most inexperienced people for some of these posts. Almost as if he wanted fresh college students that would not have been "tainted" with real world experience. If they are too wise about the world, they might balk at implementing stupid policies.

It stinks like him -- loserman -- that's why it doesn't sell.

Plus...a guy who thinks "the law of the land" gives him the Constitutional authority to implement reckless fiduciary polices that have us, as Joey B. says, "spending more money than we have in order to keep from going bankrupt," has no business selling his house.

I hope it goes into foreclosure.

But I'm not I?

"Treasury Secretary nominee Tim Geithner, the president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, filed his own taxes using Turbo Tax during the period he neglected to pay thousands of dollars in taxes.

"Under questioning from Senate Finance Committee Republican member Chuck Grassley, Geithner was very reluctant to disclose which tax filing software he used." (Washington Post)

He used Turbo Tax, but wasn't smart enough to run the software. Now he is in charge of the Internal Revenue Service.

Bottom Line: He was either purposefully cheating the system by lying on his tax returns --or-- he's too stupid to enter numbers into Turbo Tax correctly.

Which worries you more?

LL, hm. I have a choice between a liar/cheat or an idiot? As Secretary of the Treasury? It's a shallow choice, to be sure.

Dr. Dave, we had to be sure to pick a man who wouldn't bother reading the law. "If all else fails, read the directions" doesn't apply. The economy is not a failure if you can still print money, right?

What a great find. Is that Brit in there CBS? Very funny. I got a bang out of LL's and CBS's comments, too.

The Obama Admin really is comical, provided that they don't ever figure how to get the car out of the driveway. We need for 2010 to get here ... and quick.

It's remarkable how every last one of them has become a complete clown in 6 months. Of course, they were clowns before that, just without the suits.

Geitner couldn't work Turbo Tax? Get out of town.

Spidie, sadly, this man (Obama) was elected to fix the economy. What a joke.

You should watch jon stewart more often, if you did, maybe you wouldn't be blogging so far on the right as you are.
