Who is looking out for Malia Obama?

This is not OK. Malia Obama is 11 years old. How DARE her parents use her body as a canvas to express THEIR political will! Most political parents try hard to keep their kids under the radar. They don't RENT SPACE on them like a BILLBOARD. Don't tell me that this is Malia's idea. An 11 year old girl shops under supervision. She could never wear something like this without the full support of her parents. And isn't it ODD that she wears this symbol of nuclear disarmament immediately after Obama reaches an agreement with Russia limiting the number of nuclear weapons? Not odd. WRONG.

Here is my message to the Obamas:
Your daughters are already thrust into the spotlight. Your best tactic, to help them grow up as normally as possible while living in a fishbowl, is to help them keep a LOW PROFILE. Besides, urging or encouraging them to make political statements as minors is inappropriate. Frankly it strikes me as a parental political expression, and not one of the child. What are you trying to accomplish? If you want to wear a peace sign, wear it YOURSELF. Because if you push your LITTLE kids into the harsh, glaring spotlight even more than they already are by circumstance, there may be SERIOUS consequences for them. Turn your kid into a celebrity at their peril. How do child stars usually fare in our society? Not well.

Yeah I just heard about this story.

The Obamas are ONLY concerned about political ramifications of EVERYTHING they do. EVERYTHING has an agenda, EVERYTHING has an underlying reason, and I find it disturbing that they would use their children as advertisements.

God forbid if Sarah Palin were to even dare try something like this. Obviously, Peace is a nice message to promote, but by using Malia this way after the nuclear disarmament agreement- it's just another was Obama uses Media to mold the masses into doing what he wants.

I didn't even know until yesterday that this orginally was about disarmanent. I always just thought it was a hippy 60's peace thing. It does seem like unlikely it was not done with some forethought.
You have to admit they are masters at marketing. As unseemly as it may be sometimes.

That little girl looked so sweet. No she appears to have grown quite the attitude. What's up with the peace signs anyway? Obama is doing everything possible to prevent the security which brings peace to our country. I think these t-shirts are more pathos for his supporters.

By the way, did you see the Sean Puffy Combs looking character walking next to her in one of the other photos. I have a feeling this little girl will make the Bush twins look like good little angels.

I do feel bad for their kids - I do not think it's fair them to be put in the limelight - they are just kids.

Jessica, I agree. It is so wrong. They need to protect their children, not shove them out there in front of the cameras.

JACG, yes, it is a surprise to me, too. I thought it was all about peace, love and flower power in the 60s. But then, that is the group Obama's mother was involved with. The 60s commie movement.

BB, yes, she is sporting attitude. I wonder what designer made those sunglasses? She is looking more and more like her mother every day. I'm not sure about that guy. I doubt he is secret service.

Opus #6 said...

Jackie, yes, my exact point. Go and do what you want. Just leave the kids out of it.

That is so typical of Lefties and an outrageous abuse of what should be a young girl's political neutrality - disgusting behaviour!

BB,Opus: ALL 11 year-olds sport an attitude. It only gets worse. All children should remain off limits on both sides or else it's no-holds barred all across the board.

Great find, I hadn't seen this before. I think that this opens the door to criticize to the Obama girls...Pitty.

Opus #6 said...

Spidie, you capture the essence of it. Disgusting. Sweet girl, I assume. I hate to see any young one being used.

Red, yes, my daughter matured with lightning speed. But that doesn't mean parents have to feed into that by pushing them into the national spotlight. The more she is out there, the more she becomes fair game. And that is anything but fair to her.

Opus #6 said...

Sarah, I hope they stop doing stuff like this. Keep the kids neutral from here on out. Maybe all this can go away.

I used to work with the 5th & 6th graders at my old church and NONE of them looked like that! She looks a bit older. This is quite sad, I feel awful for her and really fear for her future

I'm wondering if it's the disarmanent sign or just the peace sign that a lot of kids are wearing these day. I've been asked to review quite a few kids clothings with 60's peace signs that look just like that long before the disarmanent issues were in the news. I guess we'll never know; but I guess we'll aways speculate.

In her defense, I think she is beautiful and I really don't see the attitude that has been expressed here. I don't like what the Obamas are doing in the office, but I just can't find it in me to find fault in their children.

Hey Opus#6, love the post. Been meaning to come by...But you know about those "good intentions". Anyway, Can I use this post on my blog? Thanks, Warrant One Girl.

Opus, I realized I didn't have you on my blogroll so I added you.

Opus #6 said...

Warrantonegirl, yes! Please borrow. I love that.

Quisk, OK, perhaps there is no attitude. It is hard to tell from one picture. I think she is developing her mother's perpetual frown. That must be it. I had a teacher like that once. Wonderful woman. We became friends. But all the kids were terrified of her. She always looked angry. But she wasn't really.

Opus #6 said...

Julie, thanks for doing the rounds!

Opus #6 said...

Ali, I agree. She looks WAY older in this pic than I remember her. But then again, our girls grow up at lightning speed in this culture. Not sure that is such a good thing.

ParaPacem said...

well... I can't verify this just yet, but to prove the point that the Obongos will do anything for self-promotion, I understand that David Letterman has contracted with them to have A-Rod deflower the child live on his show. They hope to both boost his in-the-toilet ratings and also gain even more support for the democrats from the pedophile lobby.

See what can of worms this has opened up?

I so agree with you!

Thanks for being so agreeable, 49er!

It's not just a shirt... Malia Obama's T-shirt has the symbol of unilateral disarmament, the CND organization logo. The leader of this organization is Kate Hudson. If you research Kate Hudson on Wikipedia, you will find that she is also a member of the British Communist Party. Nice shirt Malia

warrantonegirl said...

The other though that comes to mind is that Malia is being indoctrinated. Just like her father was. The apple does not fall far from the tree. The whole family is diabolical and it can start at a young age.

Just like he's trying to do to Americans with all his freaked out comericals and hearing his voice on the Radio and TV ALL The Time.

He is just like a third world dictator (coming on the radio) making the ones that love him even happier and the ones that can't stand him even more OPPRESSED. He is a dictator wannabe.

Opus #6 said...

Sandy, good point!

Opus #6 said...

warrantone, I think that is the creepiest part of the whole thing. That feeling that little Malia is living in the heart of the beast. And there is no way to save her.

desparateplea said...

I dont know any of you. I recently took the usual Liberal abuse, when I pointed out how horribely the Obama girls especially Malia, are being dressed...did you get a gander at the little one, when they were all leaving Italy? She looks 20 years old! I post on Fox and Friends facebook...
I know I am right..some of those people have no couth.
There is no way to save her...they will indoctrinate her, to be used to recruite young children, to Obama's kids...
she will be the spokesperson, for Hitler/Obama's kids..

arlenearmy said...

I detect juvenile delinquency will occur in the WH. Malia is growing up too fast. She does not look like the sweet little innocent girl we all saw during the campaign.

Malia looks like someone you would see on front cover of National Inquirer.

arlenearmy said...

Is that black polish on Malia's fingernails?

Opus #6 said...

Plea, she may well be the poster child for XYZ platform agenda pieces. Like Radio Disney "going green" to inculcate our children.

Opus #6 said...

arlenearmy, I think that is what I was trying to convey about her "attitude". That picture shows her to have a kind of look about her that I associate with a celebrity like Britney Spears. But it is hard to put into words why this picture strikes me that way, and why she appeared an innocent young girl in prior photos.

Good eye on the polish. I didn't see that until now. It looks DARK.
