The mainstream media wouldn’t do it. So we are trying to get your important messages to the American people. 67 This post is a suggested read at, http://aresay.blogspot.com/
Patrick, a conservative message is the best kind of spamment.
Did Bushie do any better?
Opie, the Labour party have been doing precisely the same thing over here for the past twelve years - you guys have had Obama for six months - imagine the damage he can do when he really gets going. Surely one term will be more than enough of him for the American people?
Leftie, The Bush argument grows tiresome. Here's the memo. Bush is retired. He cannot run for president again. In America, we have term limits. So for those of us who are looking forward and trying to make a better country for ourselves and for our posterity, the decision will be between Obama and whoever runs against him in 2012. But to answer your question succinctly, YES. He did better. To quote myself from a prior blog post, "I would rather have a president who is dumb-as-a-POST, than a president who cunningly tricks the nation into a socialist/communist revolution." 3/2/09
"Surely one term will be more than enough of him for the American people?"Spidie,From your lips to the American Electorate's ears.
Bush did many many things that conservatives didn't like. TARP being one of the worst. I love the fact that when questioned, people on the left say "Well Bush did it". Do you allow your children to do things that are harmful because others do? Make a real agrument about the direction that Obama is taking this country in. This is a child's answer. Be a grown up.
Bush wasn't a conservative - he really wasn't. If you look what Opus and the others on this blog are saying that they want, you'll find that many of the policies of the Bush and Clinton Administrations were remarkably similar. Obama has taken socialist tendencies and has moved in an all together collectivist direction and yes, it's worse.
JACG, I agree. An immature argument. "HE did it first!"
LL, I hope we can find a Reagan-style conservative. And FAST.
Opus #6, I haven't seen a Regan-style conservative in years. I'm beginning to lose hope. If, with everything going on right now, one hasn't stepped up by now, I truly wonder if there is even one out there that is willing/trying to become an elected official.BTW, as your blog is one of my favorites (although I don't comment often...I'm sorry, I'm pretty bad about that as I usually read on the run), I've passed the Humane Award on to you. You can pick it up on my blog.
Michele, thank you so much. This award means a lot to me, especially as I have become more and more outspoken politically, and have lost a number of my mommy blogger readers. It is awesome to see you here, and great news to me that you continue to read. :-D
Bush did it a whole lot better. Then some folks thought "Why don't we get rid of Bush. He's an idiot. He looks like a chimp! We need change."Here's your change. Is the economy better? Is the president an idiot?Does he look like a chimp?Where's the change?
Nickie, I attended an RNC dinner in July 2004 when Bush was up for re-election. Bush was the speaker. He spoke well. He did not use a teleprompter. His words came from the heart, and I remember feeling that he really did care about the safety of Americans. Obongo is out beating the bushes for "moderate taliban" to negotiate with. What a goof!
