Oh no. No Government Health Care Please

Please contact your representatives and urge them to vote no on Government Health Care.
Let's keep:
• Our choice of doctors
• Our control of our health insurance options
• Timely access to quality health care

Contact the blue dog democrats who are the hope in this thing failing, and stay on the spineless republicans as well.

A big part of the current problem can be laid at the feet of the insurance companies. The other problem deals with lawsuits that have been unreasonable and out-of-control which raise the cost for medical professionals to run their businesses. The last is the informal "code of silence" between medical professionals when somebody screws up. Nobody wants to point a finger. It's true in many professions.

As a result of these issues that each can be resolved with some small pain, the Demokrats are pushing government health care - NEVER A GOOD IDEA as the solution to all ills - with the exception of quality health care which will be the victim in all this.

I'm with Opus#6 - the Obama Administration, whipped on by Ted Kennedy and others who are rich enough not to be impacted by government health care (they'll buy private care) are all for sending the system down the tubes.

BB, I hope they listen to us.

LL, you have correctly identified the problems. Too bad Obamacare doesn't address them, and creates a system which will be much worse than what we have.

I am a Canadian living in the U.S. and I would never want government health care here. I've lived through it, my mother-in-law did not, she died waiting for heart surgery. Just before we moved to the States almost 10 years ago my husband had a strain of flesh eating bacteria and we waited 6 hours in the emergency room to be seen. And who wants to wait 10 months for a pregnancy checkup? Okay that last one was a little joke, but really......

A Very compelling video!!! LL and Bungalow Bill are both correct. The Obama administration will not even look at the real problems with health care. Obama just wants power and the ability to further control our lives.

I think health savings plans are part of the answer to these problems. The patient doctor relationship must be restored so health insurance won't dictate how the doctor provides health care. Obama keeps on saying that the Govt. option is necessary to keep private health insurance companies honest. Govt. run agencies like medicare etc. have been proven to be dishonest. So, who is going to keep govt. run health care honest?

Tammy, that is exactly the point in another quote I saw. If the US adopts govt care, where will the Canadians send their premature babies!

Teresa, I agree with you. This is all about government power and control over our lives. I hope we just say NO!

Trust me, you don't want public health care. The wait to see a doctor here in Edmonton is astounding. When I want get in to see my doctor I'd best know two months in advance that I am going to be sick. I might then wait at least two hours to get into see the doctor who will spend an average of five mins. with me.
The waiting rooms in the emergency departments at our city hospitals could easily be anywhere from 4-24 hours. Yet it is never the hospitals fault when a person dies needlessly in their waiting room!
NO to Government health care for sure!
