I love this time of year. These shrubs are right by my front door. It makes coming home such a pleasure.
Don't you love the funny things kids say? My 4-y-o boy noticed the storage unit/office that the contractor had installed on our neighbor's property, in preparation for rebuilding after the CA wildfires. He said from the back seat as we drove by, "Hey Mom, look. There's a jail!"

Ahhh...Southern California, we almost moved North of San Diego when I was pregnant. Just love the weather there, except for the fires that is. It's so nice to see flowers though, I've got daphne, primroses & some daffodils coming up...Spring is on it's way!
Sounds like something my kids would say. It is freezing here. It will be awhile before ours are blooming.
I can just hear his voice going "loook MOM, it's a jay-ell"... added the emphasis because that's how he talks :)

The bush is beautiul. So how's that pool coming along that you have to keep looking at under construction?
You would not believe how long I waited to give my youngest - and only boy - his first hair cut. He was really looking girly. And I still wait too long between cuts, but he's so purrty!-Happy vgno. - Ivette
