Wow, what scary photos. I am so thankful you are all okay and that your house is going to be able to be fixed. How did you all get out in time? Did you have time to take anything, or did you just have to run? I saw on the news yesterday that the fires were moving incredibly fast, but to see it with someone you know makes it all too real. :( (((((((Hugs))))))))
Wow, tell us the whole story, were you evacuated? were you there to take those pictures, how scary! Living here in a national forest in NM we are sometimes concerned about fires, but so far none have come close enough to threaten us. I am sorry to hear about your house partially burning, and hope your neighbors (and you) have good insurance.
This is truly horrible - the only ray of sunshine is that your home made it through. How very traumatic for you and your family. If you need help, I'm a phone call away.
having never seen a house fire I can't imagine the feelings you guys had, I am still very glad that you are all ok. Have made a pick you up treasure offering on my blog, hope you enjoy it.
I'm so relieved that you and your family are safe and that your home was spared. Prayers to you and your neighbors (and, of course, everyone affected by these horrible fires). How devastating. I hope they got out safely.
Oh no, I just commented a while ago and then wondered whether I'd missed a post leading up to it. I see that I did -- I didn't realize your home had been damaged (although looking at your photos, it seems like it couldn't have totally escaped). I hope everything is fixable and that you haven't suffered too much smoke damage. Also hoping you and yours are safe and sound, either camped out at home or tucked away with friends/family/a hotel.
